The seventh generation iPad (also referred to as the iPad 10.2-inch) is a tablet computer developed and marketed by Apple. It features a 10.2-inch (26 cm) Retina display and is powered by the Apple A10 Fusion processor. It was the successor to the 9.7-inch (25 cm) sixth generation iPad. The device was revealed on September 10, 2019, and released on September 25, 2019.
Unlike previous iPad models, which had a 9.7-inch (25 cm) display, the device was the first in the entry-level iPad lineup to feature a larger 10.2-inch (26 cm) display size.The device supports the first generation Apple Pencil, like its predecessor, and now supports Apple's 'Smart Keyboard' cover and was targeted towards the budget and educational markets. Its successor, the eighth-generation iPad, was revealed on September 15, 2020.
The seventh generation iPad last supported iPadOS 18, while its predecessor, the 6th-generation iPad, which also used the A10 Fusion processor, last supported iPadOS 17. This iPad was also the last supported iPad without a Neural Engine.
